Prepatory Things

We are doing all it takes to prepare/get ready for our next backpacking adventure. We have everything mostly aligned & ready, with the exception of one more pair of gaiters we will need to purchase & a piece of brand new Tyvek that we can use as a tent footprint but we are having a hard time finding anyplace that will sell such a small piece. We just hiked up Mt. Rosa to try out some of our new gear & to attempt to get to the top for a second time because the first time we were unprepared for how much snow was up there & we were running out of daylight due to our late start (which is per usual for us). This was the second mountain that had done this to us around here, Cameron's Cone being the first & man it's rewarding when you successfully make it up there after failing the first time. Good news is, we like our gear, I think we are in good shape.

We are excited that this trail happens to be in our now home state & although we have already seen so much of this state's beauty that has blown us away, we know there is so much more wilderness to explore, and we are excited to do so much of that on foot. I think we are moving our start date back to Tuesday, June 14th. So Tuesday, Colorado Trail, here we come!
